For ten years, Ms. Mariana Lozza served as Legal Counsel with Procuración del Tesoro de la Nación, defending the Argentine Republic in its international disputes. From April 2013 until July 2017, Ms. Lozza served as Deputy Director. In that capacity, she represented Argentina before international arbitral tribunals in investment disputes (ICSID, UNCITRAL, and ICC) and supervised local proceedings under domestic jurisdictions (including the United States of America, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Spain, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom). Also, she has actively participated in the negotiation of international investment agreements (bilateral treaties and free trade agreements) on behalf of Argentina.
Ms. Lozza has also been involved in academia dedicated to public international law. She has an LL.M., specialized on International Business Law, from American University, Washington College of Law, and received her law degree from Universidad Nacional del Sur in Argentina. She has been recognized as “Arbitration-Future Leaders” by Who’s Who Legal (2017). Ms. Lozza is fluent in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.
